If you have a thirst for adventure, you’re not alone. Some people visit Las Vegas for the thrill of gambling and the excitement of taking a risk. For the true thrill-seeker, this simply isn’t enough. Perhaps you feel the need to get out to wide open spaces, to feel the adrenalin pumping through your veins. Fortunately, there are plenty of thrills to be had in the Las Vegas area that pit you against more than just odds. If it’s a Las Vegas adventure you’re looking for, all you need to do is decide what kind of adventure you’d like and then set off on your journey.

A popular way to fill your quota for Las Vegas adventure is by taking a rough-and-tumble tour of the desert from the seat of an all-terrain vehicle, or ATV. ATVs allow you to travel off-road in the deserts surrounding Las Vegas. While everything might seem sere and dead at first, you’ll be surprised to find how alive you feel after taking a big hill and coasting down the other side. Off-roading allows you to take control of your own adventure and see the things you want to see. If you want to stop and inspect an impressively large saguaro cactus, you can. If you’d prefer to spend all day zipping over sand dunes, you can do that, too. It’s all up to you.

If you prefer a more natural mode of transportation, it doesn’t get more natural than horseback riding. You can rent a horse and spend a day exploring the Wild West the way it was first explored. There are even tours that will guide you over trails once traveled by legendary men and the outlaws that once claimed the desert as their own. This is a Las Vegas adventure of the old school.

For those who prefer a wet and wild Las Vegas adventure, there are plenty of water tours you can take in. You can raft down the Colorado River while taking in the beautiful sights of the Black Canyon. You’ll feel the water on your face and the wind in your hair as the merciless desert sun challenges you to outlast it. If you’d prefer a more comfortable adventure, you can also take a jet boat tour of the same route. It’ll get you to your destination a little faster, and with the comfort of air conditioning. There’s an adventure waiting for you in Las Vegas. All you need to decide is which one to take.

The Grand Canyon is one of the oldest and largest national state parks. stretches for more than 270 miles from Lee’s Ferry on the eastern side to Grand Wash Cliffs in the west . Its entire area is an enormous 1.2 million acres and is situated right in the center of the Kaibab National Forest. Visitors to Las Vegas can take a wonderful day trip to the West or South Rims excluding the North Rim because its too far for a day trip. Lets tips when looking at bus trips grand canyon for your getaway to the canyon.

When exploring the best buses from las vegas to grand canyon for you, find out what sort of transportation they offer for their tours. A number of budget operators use minivans. This is good early in the tour, but as the day progresses they will start to feel very stuffy and cramped. Find a company with motor coach buses which offer reclining seats, air-conditioning and on board restrooms. The bigger the windows on the bus, the better – you want to take advantage of the many scenic vistas that exist along the way to the canyon.

If time allows, a bus trips grand canyon to the South Rim is a great experience and will provide excellent photo opportunities. If time is of the essence but you want to experience the Grand Canyon, choose a trip to the West Rim. Its just 140 miles and 2.5 miles away from Las Vegas by bus and it still offers stunning scenic visions of one of the great natural wonders of the world.

On the way to the canyon the majority of tours will stop at Hoover Dam, so you can enjoy the view and take some pictures. Stopping at Hoover Dam is a highlight to your excursion as driving through just doesn’t do it justice, so make sure your tour stops there. A good tour will also take you through the Black Canyon and see the 900 year old ancient Joshua Tree Forest. Additional sites on the way include Boulder City and Lake Mead.

Once you experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon, you will find it difficult to want to leave. When you book your Grand Canyon Bus Tour, ask them therefore how long they spend at the actual canyon. Some tours only spend two hours there, which is not enough time and it will be over before you know it. A three hour visit is the minimum time recommended, however if your tour gives you four hours to appreciate the beauty of the canyon, then all the better.

Another quick tip to bear in mind is whether or not your tour will offer a tour narrator inclusive in their package. Also, it’s good to know if the tour will pay for the cost of shuttles to transport passengers between the different viewing points at the canyon. These points are not conveniently located to each other and walking on a summers day can be quite uncomfortable. And if you are more daring, you can also opt for one of the helicopter flights at one’s disposal at the canyon.

For the UFO thrill seeker in us all, Las Vegas Area 51 Tours is an excellent adventure in the centre of the desert. Internationally reknown, travelers have heard of this mystical place and travel from far away places to experience the aura. And many travel through the Mohave Desert hoping to find that unexplainable object in the skies above.

Area 51 Las Vegas

Area 51 is a sacred location for this kind of thrill seeker, but don’t forget that this first and foremost is a top secret US military base. Travelers are not permitted inside the fence, or along the perimeter of this base. It is a very secret site, and yet the world knows about it. It is protected, but amazingly there is an excursion that indiscreetly goes about bringing as close as you’ll ever going to get.

When you are in Las Vegas, you might have a look at scheduling a trip to Area 51. But be careful. It is best if you have a tour guide and professional operating service. It is highly recommended to use the vehicle of your tour guide, as to travel in pure comfort to endure the scorching desert heat. This is not an ideal setting that you can get out of the car and wander at your free will. There are serious consequences. Therefore why, they call it an extreme excursion.

Las Vegas is fascinating in so many ways. You’ll have many other choices of entertainment to make use of in the city of Vegas. But after all the food, shows and gambling, take a detour into the beautiful desert. There are lots of things to do in Las Vegas, but just remember you are in the center of the Mohave Desert. Yes, Las Vegas’ outskirts are residential, with grocery stores, and every day life and so on. But the desert remains the desert, and the desert forever has its secrets.

The extreme tour to Area 51 will take you on Groom Lake. It just not possible of getting closer without the military law intervening. The trip to the zone is desolate. It is a lonely desert, after all, with Area 51 in the midst of it. It is all mysterious, yet still scenic.

The Extraterrestrial Highway takes you closest to Area 51. This is the one and only road getting you as close as possible to the facility. You will see the sketchings created by ancient native American Indians. These are petroglyphs in the stone, and they show aliens at the edge of an ancient dry lake.

Enjoy a one of a kind lunch time at the famous A’le’Inn Restaurant, which has been aired in many documentaries and movies. Alien burgers are served here with French fries and a beverage, and there is also souvenir shopping for you too. Then off to Black Mailbox, known as a meeting place for more UFO fans alike.

Area 51 military base is no joke and they are serious when it comes to holding unwanted guests out. Read the signs everywhere clarifying Top Secret Military Facility. You will be warned to Keep Out. Signs also say Use of Deadly Force Authorized.

This exciting excursion of the desert area operates on Wednesdays, although other days may also be booked with prior notice. You will leave Las Vegas via a deluxe 4×4. The length of the excursion is about 9 1/2 hours, starting at 7am. The Alien Burger lunch includes a drink. Bottle water and snack foods are also available. Las Vegas Sightseeing Tours can sell out, so book online for a guaranteed seat.

Utah has some of America’s most beautiful national parks, one of them being the stunning Bryce Canyon National Park. Tourists are granted breathtaking views of the ancient rock formations and stunning amphitheaters that were created over millions of years of weather caused by ice, snow and water. For those visitors needing to break away from the busy attractions so typical in the city of Las Vegas, Bryce Canyon Las Vegas Tours may be just the element that they are needing to add a little more down to earth to their vacation.

Bryce Canyon Tours

Spanning about 36,000 acres, Bryce Canyon may be Utah’s smallest national park. Zion and Grand Canyon National Park tend to be the more popular neighboring national parks, possible making Bryce Canyon an oversight by some but a tremendously appreciated gem by those who do visit. It may be small in comparison to those larger parks, but don’t be fooled by size as the fabulous landscapes are grandiose. The scenic landscapes that surround you and it’s fantastic trails, make it a trouble-free park to hike.

Bryce Amphitheater is the park’s most popular attraction. People come from everywhere just to see the magnificent natural amphitheater and the limestone formations boasting colorful earthtone hues that ascend like frozen titans from its floor. The Paiute Indians that lived in the area long before the Europeans came, believed the ‘hoodoos’ were remains of the Legend people who lived there long before the Paiute Indians. According to the legend, they were punished for their bad deeds by being turned into stone. Whether you choose to believe the legend or not, you will want to take a hike on the trails that run along the amphitheater’s face just to get a closer look, and draw your own conclusion.

The Rim Trail provides some fantastic perspectives of the renowned Bryce Amphitheater. This trail is about 5 1/2 miles in distance, running along the rim of the canyon, connecting the five major observation points. The trail that runs between the Sunset and Sunrise points, is level enough to enable wheelchair access.

The simplest walk is the Queen’s Garden Trail. It begins and ends at the Fairyland viewing point, descending below the amphitheater’s rim for a distance somewhere over one and a half miles. From this route you’ll enjoy views of The Queen Victoria and Queens Castile Rock formations.

You’ll want to hike along the Navajo Loop Trail that begins and ends at Sunset Point, which descends 1.3 miles below Bryce Rim. Along its route, you’ll pass “Wall Street” getting its name from the narrow opening between two sheer cliff walls that are the gateway to view the Thor’s Hammer, Silent City, and Temple of Osiris formations.

Due to its 8-mile distance, and varying vertical stretches, the Fairyland Loop Trail is considered the most difficult trail of all. It traverses down from Fairyland Point to Fairyland Canyon, where, at about mid-point along the trail, it reaches Tower Bridge Junction. From Tower Bridge Junction, a short, 1-mile long trail leads to the Tower Bridge formation. After the Junction, the trail will then continues on upwards to the China Wall, thereby returning you to the starting point via the Rim Trail.

If you are looking for a rather desolate trail, then you’ll appreciate Fairyland Point because it is less populated as the other scenic points, probably because its off the beaten track.. But don’t let this discourage you from touring this site because it will provide you with more beauty to yourself with the best views from anywhere else in the park. On this path is the vision of highest hoodoo in the park, The Boat Mesa and the impressive Sinking Ship formation.

The park has plenty of other attractions too. The Bryce Amphitheater may be the most visited site in the park, but you’ll find there are so many other areas to see you just may not be able to see them in one day. You might discover once you get back from your vacation that there are other Bryce Canyon Tours from Las Vegas that you should go on.

A vacation to Hoover Dam is one of the most popular things to do as a family outing to Las Vegas. Considered to be an engineering marvel at the time of it’s construction back in the 1930′s, Hoover Dam is a legendary landmark drawing tourists from all over the country and world. It remains one of the top Las Vegas attractions, and one that should be on your list of things to do and see. However, don’t just settle for a average land tour, when you can add some adventure and see it from an completely new perspective. A Las Vegas rafting tour can provide you that spice in a whole new way that is likely to pleasantly surprise everyone in your group.

Las Vegas Rafting Tour

The rafting tour launches at the foot of the dam on the edge of the Colorado River in the heart of the region of Black Canyon. Big rafts provide both comfort and safety while meeting the US Coast Guard safety regulations, and are used to take you along the dam’s base, giving you an exceptional and unique view of the dam.

Once you have seen the dam, your tour continues with a pleasant cruise along the Black Canyon waters of the Colorado River. You’ll be embraced by the walls of the surrounding Eldorado Mountains, where its walls can sometimes reach two thousand, plus feet, in height. It’s name is derived from the black volcanic rocks commonly natural to the region.

As you continue along, keep your camera on hand and ready should you spot an spot an eagle or two. They soar above and around often, as well as osprey and blue heron. Majestic bighorn mountain sheep also roam the canyon cliffs. While you enjoy the sights, your tour guide will give you information and knowledgeable facts about the regions historical past.

The rafting tour normally stops along the shore allowing everyone an opportunity to enjoy a picnic lunch. Then you are off to take a walk along the river bank, or go swimming. Anyone deciding on swimming will need to remember that the beach can be quite cold. Due to the fast moving currents, it never heats up to a warm temperature but instead remains at a temperature around between 50 and 52 degrees all year long.

Just after rafting a distance of about twelve miles, you’ll dock at Willow Beach Harbor, on the Colorado River’s Arizona side where you’ll leave the raft. The rafting part of your trip formally finishes here but the playing continues. You may want to take an hour or two seeing the little town of Willow Beach, or rent a boat at the Marina and do some fishing before your return trip to Las Vegas if you are not continuing on as part the combination tour. Its definitely worth checking out the several outdoor fun-filled activities and other things to do in this small town that is located on the Colorado River.

If you chose to book a combination tour, then the next portion of your trip is a ground tour of the Hoover Dam. In that case, you will be transported from Willow Beach back to the dam on a quick mini-bus or coach ride. When you arrive, you will be given a tour of its interior and take elevators 500 feet down into the walls of the canyon. You will have the chance to shoot some photos as you’ll see an old 1930s model generator, see the visitor’s center, museum and Old Exhibits Bldg. When you are finished with your Hoover Dam tour, its time to return to Las Vegas. Some tours will include a stop at a local park on the way back to Las Vegas, so that you can have an opportunity to see herds of bighorn sheep from a closer perspective than you were able to during your raft-ride in the Black Canyon.

Whether you are heading home right away, or staying on to take pleasure in the casinos and nightlife, Las Vegas rafting tours will be an true highlight of your visit, no matter of the length of your stay.

The bright lights of Las Vegas are well known all over the world, and a first-time visitor may find themselves somewhat overwhelmed with all of the excitement. Some of the must-see sights include of course the famous casinos of the main drag, but there are a number of other sights both in and out of town that could also be explored. For those flying in without a car of their own, there is no better way to get around town and learn more about the real life of Vegas through one of the Las Vegas sightseeing tours. These could be operated from a bus, a plane, or on foot, but all have their own unique attractions.

Las Vegas Sightseeing Tours

Some of the best Las Vegas sightseeing tours take visitors out of town into the starkly dramatic and beautiful desert. There are safari packages that let you get up close and personal with wildlife that is both natural to the environment and imported from other exotic destinations. That can be a good experience for those traveling with children. These trips will also usually include hiking or walking expeditions that are suitable for all fitness levels or needs.

Of course, no trip to Las Vegas would be complete without seeing a wedding, Elvis impersonators, or preferably both at the same time. This is often a feature of Las Vegas sightseeing tours that could be incorporated into your own wedding plans or for someone in your group. There are a number of unique wedding chapels that will give you a sense of the tradition here. While it may not be everyone’s ideal of romance, there are long-lasting marriages that began with a mere fling in Vegas, and this can be an exciting wedding destination for friends and relatives who also come along to celebrate.

Even if you only manage to have a day in Vegas, it’s a good idea to embark on one of these Las Vegas sightseeing tours to get a feel for what is out there in the city. Because there is so much more than simply the casinos, it can be a way to save time and be able to say that you really were able to get a feel for the city. Naturally, it is also important to give yourself time to enjoy all the amenities and attractions that are undoubtedly in your hotel. A sightseeing tour may actually be included as part of your package deal, so that is something to ask about.

When visiting Las Vegas then it is possible the casinos, shows and bright lights of the city may have tempted you. Vegas is synonymous with betting and the glitz & glamor of the nightlife. Even so Vegas is located in an area of incredible natural splendor. From Sin City it is possible to pay a visit to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and several destinations in the Mojave . One of the best ways to relish some of this magnificent scenery is to choose one of the Las Vegas ATV Tours available by a local sightseeing tour company.

Off- Road Vehicles or ATV’s offer you the chance to experience the Mojave from an unique perspective. You’ll be able to really take pleasure in all facets of this distinctive and magical place. This means that anyone can pay a visit to areas which are very difficult to get to and off from the primary roadways and other visitors. Traveling on a ATV or motorbike gives you unhindered views as well as being a fantastic way to travel as you proceed through different terrains.

The majority of the rides are tailored based on the likes and ability of the riders. Even so all tours will go to completely unique places. The Mojave is famous for having a variety of different types of geography and scenery. Every adventure will give you the chance to see examples of several destinations. You will see some unforgettable scenery while in the Hidden Valley and some examples of flat top mountain tops and metamorphic rocks in the McCullough Mountains.

Presently there are a pair of Las Vegas ATV tours available based on a person’s riding experience. The easier one is for all riders and takes advantage of Automatic Bikes for simplicity of riding. The one-of-a-kind tour will take you roughly 6 hours. You can expect to travel through the Hidden Valley which is a huge canyon filled with cacti and amazing scenes. Next you are going to travel along ancient lava beds and then up into the McCullough Mountains and finish off by traveling across the Roach Lake Dry Bed.

The All Terrain Vehicle Extreme Hidden Valley expedition for skilled riders is an adrenalin fueled and extremely fast tour through the exact same locations as above. This specific one-of-a-kind journey also speeds through some of the old Las Vegas to Reno off road tracks. You can expect to ride high powered manual quadbikes for the complete off road experience. Every day the tours are personalized to the experience of the individuals and will range in duration accordingly. For each of the ATV tours it is possible to decide on either morning or afternoon trips and the only main difference is that the a.m. adventure stops at a hotel for refreshments. The tours leave every day.

Often the dirt bike trips offered are similar to the extreme ATV tour. The ride is a exciting trip through extremely tough terrain and is for that reason recommended exclusively for seasoned riders who have to be over sixteen years old. All gear can be furnished but the tour provider advocates that guests have as much of their unique equipment as possible.

If you would like to take an exhilarating ride through the desert but do not choose to drive yourself there is another option. On the Desert Racecar Adventure you will ride with a skilled driver in a very fast off road vehicle. It is a two hour experience along race tracks and lake beds and the car will attain speeds of about one hundred twenty miles per hour.

All Las Vegas Adventure Tours may have requirements such as height, age and experience so pay a visit to the website for more important information. Professional quality gear will be furnished as will bottled h2o. The tour charges come with complimentary pick up from Vegas Strip hotels .

Some of the most popular things to do in Las Vegas are the wide variety of tours available, to a huge number of locations. Tours offer a great alternative to the gambling and night life of The Strip, and if you are on a family vacation and want a kid friendly activity or just want to inject some cultural and educational time into your vacation, tours from Las Vegas are a great way to do so. These tours include not only areas around the city, but a number of national parks and historic locations. Here, we’ll take a quick look at some of the more popular destinations, as well as some of the ways you can experience them.

The Grand Canyon is a great place to take a day trip, and this can be done either by bus, by plane, or even by helicopter. While the bus travel time is significantly longer than the air travel options, it is also much more affordable. You are also able to appreciate the incredible depth of the Grand Canyon more easily on the ground than in the air. Tours from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon are also available by air, and while these are faster they are more expensive. However, being able to see the entirety of the Grand Canyon from the air is an experience that you will definitely remember.

Another one of the more popular tours from Las Vegas are those to Lake Mead and the Colorado River. These are a fantastic way to spend a day for the more adventurous types, especially because you can take a kayaking trip down the Colorado River. There are also Hummer tours, rafting tours, and a tour from the river down to the Hoover Dam. If you want to take a tour of the outdoor areas, the Colorado River and surrounding national and state parks make a great experience in nature.

Lastly, there are even tours from Las Vegas to a number of historic and other interesting areas. Area 51 tours make for a great way to experience the mystery of the classic “restricted government site.” There are also landsailing tours, Death Valley tours, and tours to Zion national park. If you want to take a day or two out of your vacation in the city to get some experience in nature, these tours are all great ways to do so.
